James Bond on Holiday in Morocco OK … in Spectre he wasn’t exactly taking a holiday during his trip in Morocco but yet another film decided to incorporate Morocco into their script. A long line of films (Bourne series, Gladiator etc) have based at part of their story of filming explicitly or otherwise in Morocco. Much of the filming is done towards the desert and Morocco has large studios near Ait Ben Haddou, but Spectre went further in to the desert towards Merzouga.

Harira Soup – The Moroccan Holiday Must Whilst the tajine is the most famous Moroccan recipe and is a certainty that you will try whilst on your holiday in Morocco, harira is another traditional Moroccan dish that is very understated and rather under publicised and definitely something that you should try.

Morocco might be a place for a holiday of cultural insight – a moderate Islamic country a short flight away from the UK – but it is also blessed with some outstanding natural beauty. Your holiday can take in as little or as much of this natural wonder, ranging from the sandy Atlantic shores through to the awe inspiring barren desert, but for those holiday makers passing through Marrakech (or Taroudant to the southI can thoroughly recommend the High Atlas Mountains.

A Day On Holiday In Essaouira Essaouira is a beautiful and interesting Moroccan town on the Atlantic coast. It is a comfortable drive due west from Marrakech but now also has direct flights from the UK making it a great holiday destination. So what is it like there and what might I expect in a typical day?

Shopping for carpets in Morocco At Naturally Morocco, one of the many things we love about what we do is stories that our clients regale us with on their return. It is so refreshing to hear detailed personal experiences about their journey they have taken and adapting to their new unfamiliar surroundings. I could spend hours and hours reading feedback, but picked this one out recently as my favourite. It’s an amusing account from one of clients who recently travelled to Morocco in September 2015 and their experience in ‘buying a carpet’. This story made me smile as it was something I could totally relate to on my very first trip back in 2009….

Alcohol On Holiday In Morocco Everyone has their own wish list or needs for a holiday, which is why Naturally Morocco is here to create the right holiday for each individual and why we are now in our 20th year of doing so. For me a holiday is about the right mix of relaxation and interest, and I like to relax in the evening with a little drink. Morocco is a Muslim country and this does have an effect on the availability of alcohol during your holiday which you should be aware of. It is possible to have your occasional drink without offending local sensitivities, but it is best to go on holiday prepared and informed.

A Day On Holiday In Taroudant A little knowledge can go a long way in easing fears for those new customers who have not been on holiday to Morocco before, and a common questions is the general “what’s it like there?” so I write below a typical day on my last holiday in Taroudant as a taste of what to expect.

Holiday In Essaouira – Surfing My first holiday in Morocco, before I became involved with Naturally Morocco, was with a small group of friends wanting a relaxing get-away. Naturally Morocco came up in our search and they suggested Essaouira as a possible destination and soon enough we were staying in a riad there.

Compensation For Delayed Flights To Morocco There’s almost nothing worse than starting or ending a holiday to Morocco, or any other holiday with a bad flight. With the proliferation of routes over the last 20 years since Naturally Morocco first started, and the reduction in seat prices due to the budget airlines, holidays to Morocco have become progressively easier, more flexible and cost conscious and flights are generally a minor inconvenience to soon forget on your arrival.

Morocco Holiday Gems – Chefchaouen The holiday market is becoming ever more focussed on Marrakech, which gives great opportunities to holiday makers to explore in greater peace elsewhere. One such excellent destination is Chefchaouen - a sleepy yet stunning town nestled in the foothills of the Rif mountains.
