Exploring Morocco whilst trekking by horse is a wonderful way of getting off the beaten track and experiencing the stunning landscapes of the country. The length of rides available varies from half day to week long treks.
Although all of our horse trekking guides and facilities have public liability insurance, clients taking part in treks should ensure that they are appropriately insured for accidents, medical repatriation, mountain rescue and repatriation helicopter, have suitable clothing and sufficiently fit.
We cater for a variety of abilities - if you are a less experienced rider please let us know in advance so that a suitable horse can be allocated for your level of experience. Stallions are widely ridden since it is illegal to castrate horses in Morocco. While we are informed that stallions are safe to ride and that the horses are very carefully trained, you may wish to seek further advice on this matter depending on your experience.
For further advice please call our consultants on 01239 710814.
Group sizes vary: for longer treks, your first night is usually in a hotel or guest house and subsequently is normally in tents or occasionally simple Berber homes. Tents are either modern tents for 2 people or sharing a large traditional tent sleeping about 6 people, whichever you prefer.
Food is good quality tasty traditional fare prepared over camp fires on the overnight treks.
Please note: some of the longer treks have pre-determined departure dates (usually Saturday to Saturday) and minimum group size so please contact us so that we can check the availability for your proposed travel dates.
**Please note: Our horse treks are only available as part of an itinerary booked through us including accommodation and transport.**
