Distances in Morocco

Morocco is roughly twice the size of the UK - a land area of over 710,850 sq km (274,400 sq miles), over 2,000 km long and over 500 km wide at its widest.

Most of the major cities are linked by motorways and generally good roads exist between main towns, but roads may be narrow in the remote regions and are often tortuous in the mountains, so distances can be deceptive and trips often take longer than expected.

The following tables of distances between the main centres may assist you in planning your holiday; however, 100 miles through the mountains can take more than twice as long to drive as 100 miles on a motorway.
