This itinerary takes in a number of Morocco's unique gems - the Imperial City of Fez with its historic medina, maze of alleys and souks; and Chefchaouen, one of the prettiest towns in Morocco hidden in the Rif Mountains. It also visits Tetouan (a World Heritage Site) with its vast souk and the cultural melting pot of Tangier where Europe meets Africa.
Morocco's north is relatively dificult to get to so fewer people try, but for those willing to take the time the rewards are all the greater.

Visit the souk which is considered to be an exceptionally well preserved and complete example of this type of historic town, or the Moroccan Arts Museum and the Artisans School whch teaches traditional arts and crafts. Alternatively take the afternoon to visit the nearby beach town of Martil. |

| 8 | Visit a 17th century Sultan's palace currently a museum of antiquities including Roman remains, through the souks taking the Matisse Route and visiting the Mendoubia (Legation) gardens. | |

| 10 | Depending on flight times, visit The Rouah - Moulay Ismail's stables, Moulay Ismail' Mausoleum then taxi transfer to Fez Airport (1 hour). |
