One of our many favourite riads in Marrakech Medina we have carefully chosen over the years. Naturally Morocco now has more than 30 personally selected (by our expert holiday consultants) riads in the medina. This is one of the first riads that we started to work with nearly 20 years ago during the early days of Naturally Morocco and still continue to receive excellent feedback from our customers who have had the pleasure of staying there.

Selecting suitable riads for us to offer our customers is not a simple task – there are many new riads opening (and closing) virtually every week in Marrakech, but good riads are so much more than beautifully restored family town houses. For a trip to be extra special, every aspect of the accommodation has to be right including décor, location, staffing and customer satisfaction.

Riad El Zohar

Riad El Zohar is well located in the antique dealers district of the medina which is a comfortable 5 minute walk to the main square. It is run by Allan and his wife Malika who are often on site and able to help you with and needs or requests that you have.

The riad has 5 beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms all of which are en suite with many home comforts and the riad also boasts a lovely double layered roof terrace.

Riad El Zohar (like many others) is a typically traditional riad, which are historic Moroccan family town houses with rooms arranged over several floors around a central courtyard. Riad El Zohar was carefully restored to emphaise its wonderful features and offers a welcoming place to stay as you explore the medina outside.

Holiday Options in Morocco

Morocco is so much more than Marrakech, but does have the most convenient international airport for many holiday makers coming to Morocco and has its famous medina and souks.

However, we generally recommend only a few days in Marrakech medina with a holiday split between there and other places in Morocco to create a bespoke and varied week’s holiday just for you. If you only have a few days to spare, have a look at our short breaks page for more information.
