Pearl of Essaouira

A 6 day and 5 night circular trek (4 days on horseback) exploring the beaches of the Atlantic coast crossing the countryside along the Atlantic coast. A circular trip in the Souirie countryside, the trail winds along the Atlantic coast, exploring the fishing villages and true Berber life. An opportunity to discover the diverse landscapes of the region of Essaouira.

Day 1:

Overnight in Essaouira on a B&B basis. Essaouira is a beautiful fishing town on the Atlantic coast, around 2.5 hours' drive due west of Marrakech or a similar distance due north of Agadir.

That afternoon or evening, if time of arrival permits, you will meet your guide and will be briefed on the excursion.

Day 2-5:

Trekking on horseback. Every day you will be riding for about 5 hours. ''The Pearl of Essaouira'' lets you to discover the many different landscapes of the region: sand dunes, deserted beaches, cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, fishing villages.

Accompanied by your guide, you will have the opportunity trot and canter, and to cross oueds (rivers) until you arrive at the camp every night. Every evening you will enjoy a campfire, a traditional Moroccan meal and spending the night in a Berber tent. Dinner and overnight camping.

Day 5:

Back in Essaouira. The last day is dedicated to explore the coastline and the city of Essaouira. It is a half day ride, and lunch is served on the way back. The afternoon is free for shopping in the Medina of Essaouira or a relaxing massage in a Hammam (Turkish bath, massage and other treatments are not included in the price). Dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel in the city of Essaouira.

Day 6:

Departure from Essaouira to your next destination or to Marrakech/Agadir airport.

**Riding lasts about 5 hours a day. Departure at 10am every morning, break for lunch around 1:30pm to eat and take a nap if needed, arrival in the camp about 5pm each day.

Accommodation: throughout your trail ride, you will be in collective tents for 6 to 7 people, or if you wish, in a 2 person igloo tent. The camps are equipped with a shower.
