Accommodation: There are 6 rooms in total, all on the upper floors.

There are 3 standard rooms and 3 superior rooms, all with double or twin beds:

• 2 on the first floor, Carmin and Violine; and
• one on the roof terrace, Jade (an ideal option for a honeymoon)

3 double or twin rooms, Saffron, Ambre, and Azur. All rooms have en-suite shower rooms, heating and air conditioning, and all have a fireplace or wood burning stove.

Location: Easily found and accessed via alleys in the Bab Douakkala district a short distance from the famous La Maison Arabe restaurant, it lies approximately 15 minutes' walk from the main Jemma el Fna Square.

Services and other points to note: The plunge pool measures 3.5m x 2m.  Name translates as 'Joy and Happiness', which the staff successfully convey. Children under 12 are not accepted except for whole riad bookings. No cots available.

Meals: Breakfast is included.  Healthy, good-quality food based on an inspired combination of Moroccan and European cuisine. Lunch and dinner can be provided. Alcohol is not available at the riad. Drinking is also not allowed in the common areas. If you bring alcohol for personal use in your private room, please present the receipt to the staff as proof of purchase.

Staff: Excellent staff where nothing is too much trouble and will offer a warm Moroccan welcome.
