Accommodation: The beautiful villas are all individually designed; each riad-style villa has its own private garden, kitchen, terrace(s), most bathrooms have a bath as well as a shower, all have a sliding glass roof to the central room, TV for DVD's and i-pod dockers.

There are 6 pools on site, a 15 metre long swimming pool, an adjacent children's pool and 4 private plunge pools associated with villas Mevada, Sila, Jamila and Valmar.

Location: The hotel is located just 100 meters from the long sandy beach at Sidi Kaouki, a hamlet well known for windsurfing, kitesurfing and surfing, horse and camel riding. Equipment may be hired locally.

The beach at Sidi Kaouki is a wild beach and normally enjoying better sporting conditions than Essaouira; however, Essaouira beach benefits from calmer water conditions due to the island lying just offshore protecting it from the Atlantic, and has a larger and gentler beach.

It is just a 20 minutes' drive from Essaouira, worth visiting for its medina (a World Heritage Site), beautiful traditional fishing port and many restaurants and shops.

Services and other points to note: Also on site are: a tennis court, a small spa with a very experienced manageress, a restaurant, a library of about 50 DVD's and a good selection of games. Whilst there is no adsl broadband in the village they do have a good 3-G wifi that is free and covers most of the hotel. It is good for web browsing, emails and video calls but not really fast enough for watching you-tube and other data heavy applications.  All the villas and riads have large screen TV’s with a good selection of international channels.

Pool heating; The main pool is heated during the winter (exact dates are not provided as this can be fairly flexible depending on weather conditions). The main change applies to individual villas. Due to the high cost of maintaining the heating, the pool heating will be charged for.  For now, this service can only be offered in Riad Sila, Dar Jamila and Dar Mevada and the price is an additional £40 per night with a minimum of 3 nights required.  

Meals: Breakfast is included and may be served indoors, on the terrace, by the pool or in your room if you wish. Lunch and evening meals available and may be served wherever you wish.
