Accommodation: Unusually spacious, it offers 11 luxurious bedrooms or suites, all en suite; some have an open fire and/or bath.

On the ground floor: there are 3 suites of which 2 are split level with a salon ideal for 2 extra beds, the third a lofty room with a double bed.

On the first floor: there are 4 standard rooms, the luxurious master Celestial Suite and the 3 remaining suites.

Location: Just a short walk into the Kalaa, a 12th century Kasbah on the estuary of the river Bouregreg, the riad is convenient for shopping in the medina and the main sights.

Services and other points to note: There is a large leafy patio with pretty fountain and stunning plasterwork off which leads a snug TV room, a spacious comfortable salon/dining room and a cosy bar and sitting area with open fire. There is a reading room with pretty domed ceiling on the first floor. There is a Spa at their sister riad; Riad Dar Dar which is available to guests of Riad Kalaa & Riad Kalaa 2 open 7 days a week.

In addition there is a deep swimming pool, which is heated when necessary.

Meals: Breakfast is included. High quality Moroccan meals made to order (restaurant is open 7 days a week).

Staff: The manageress, Solange, who lives on site and is extremely efficient, friendly and professional, is assisted by a charming and competent team. David, the owner, is often on site too.
