Accommodation: Comprising 23 modern, spacious rooms with traditional features and furnishings. Doubles, triples and family rooms are all available, some with balconies. Those with sea view are larger and thus may take extra beds. All come with satellite TV, en-suite shower and toilet.

Please note there are no safes or hairdryers in rooms.

Location: Situated 3 minutes walk from the beach in a quiet residential neighbourhood, at the far end of the town beach away from the Medina.  The port and main square of the Medina are around 20 minutes pleasant walk along the beach’s promenade.

Services and other points to note: There is a large swimming pool and enclosed terraces. The hotel is close to schools for water sports (windsurfing, surfing and kite surfing) and camel riding zones of the beach. They also offer a free service to guests staying at Riad Zahra to purchase coach tickets from Essaouira to Marrakech.

Meals: Continental breakfast included. Eggs (available for a supplement), fresh orange juice, bread, cakes, pancakes, yoghurts, fruit and small portion of cheese and a range of hot beverages. Seasonal fresh fruits are self service. Traditional Moroccan food is served in the ground-floor restaurant and the new Zahra's Grill on the top floor has large windows allowing a fabulous sea view. It was opened in summer 2012 and serves a wide variety of Spanish tapas as well as grilled meat and fish dishes.

Please note: Zahra's Grill is closed from 10th November to 10th March.

Staff: The owners Edith and Xavier, and their friendly Moroccan staff provide a well-managed and good value hotel.
