One of Morocco's gems and one of Islam's greatest cities, the medina of Fez el Bali is recognised as one of the finest in the world. To find your way through the 9000 tiny winding alleyways we suggest a guide to show you sights such as the Medersas, the Mosques, the museums, the palaces and souks  of this former capital city and the main spiritual, religious and culinary centre of Morocco. Its mountainous setting is not only beautiful but also offers many options for outings.

The former 17th century capital and current World Heritage site is an important market centre. Often by passed by visitors, this hassle-free city offering visitors many attractions including many structures giving a sense of its grand past: huge tombs, granaries and stables, gardens, lakes, mosques and much more

This mountain town exudes enormous charm: it is clean, safe, relaxed and highly photogenic - the charming cobbled streets, the flower-filled squares, its breathtaking mountain backdrop, with peaks in the area rising to over 2,000 metres, soaring above the town at 660 metres, combine to produce a wonderful spectacle.

Part of its charm stems from its relative isolation, deep in the Rif mountains. It can be approached from the Mediterranean coast to the north at Tangier (2 hours), the Atlantic coast to the west or from Fez or Meknes to the south (3 hours).
