Winter Breaks in Morocco

Sunshine and Warmth in the Beautiful South

If you fancy escaping the winter weather and contemplating heading for warmer climates, the south of Morocco is just the place. For many of us, tolerating many months of low temperatures, rain and howling wind is just too much and we crave some warmth and sunshine.

So why not take a winter break in Morocco where you can relax in the sunshine and enjoy some spectacular scenery in areas that are 'off the beaten tourist trail'.

Location

Taroudant

Taroudant is a “Little Marrakech” due to the backdrop of the High Atlas Mountains and its red town walls, which are more complete than those of any other Moroccan town. This Berber market town is little frequented by tourists,  providing an authentic experience of everyday life and is an ideal base from which to explore Berber countryside.

Tafraoute

Tafraoute is a small town in a breathtaking setting of the boulder strewn pink hued mountains of the Anti Atlas. It is accessed by winding, scenic mountain roads from the Atlantic coast or from Taroudant and Agadir to the north.

The Anti-Atlas Mountains

The most distinct and varied of the Atlas mountain ranges provides an important barrier against the Sahara which lies to its south. This mountain area offers spectacular landscapes, fantastic walking, a tempting climate and a legendary welcome from the local Berbers.
