NATURALLY MOROCCO GUEST HOUSE | TAROUDANT

Renowned for its excellent food and delightful, knowledgeable Moroccan staff, this ethically run guest house is the focal point of Naturally Morocco’s “Real Morocco” experience, which offers insights into all aspects of Morocco. It is an ideal place in which to share experiences with like-minded guests in a "large family" atmosphere. Situated in Taroudant's medina, it is a traditionally furnished modern house that offers a variety of sleeping options.

Accommodation:  Decorated with Moroccan rugs, lamps, mirrors, pottery, decorative tiles, mosaic floors, textiles and plasterwork, the 4 storey guest house offers very flexible sleeping options, which may be let as a 2 bedroom apartment, a 3 bedroom apartment or 9 separate bedrooms. Most rooms have Moroccan style couches which can provide 2 extra sleeping spaces. All rooms have spacious wardrobes, Moroccan 5* mattresses and most have double or twin beds designed to be converted to doubles. All rooms have private bathrooms except one pair of rooms on the first floor which share a bathroom with a bath and shower. Portable heaters, woollen jellabahs (traditional long robes) and hot water bottles are offered in winter and fans in mid summer. Location: The house is situated in a good neighbourhood in Taroudant medina, 20 minute's walk from a pool and 10 minute's walk from the souk.

Services and other points to note: Free use of the pool at the Palais Salam hotel. The house offers a secure, family friendly base; cots, babysitting and well equipped clients’ kitchen available. A large room on the second floor is used for socialising, dining, music and other group activities. The home base of Naturally Morocco’s "Real Morocco" programme of activities and guided trips, there are ample oppurtunities for visitors to gain a genuine insight into local urban and rural society, culture, wildlife and the environment, and to get involved in a variety of local community projects.

Meals: Breakfast is included and dinner is normally included (B&B basic price noted below). Option of packed lunches. The food is excellent - the cooks also cater well for special diets including gluten free, vegan and vegetarian for which they have won an award. Option to eat on the terrace.
