A well-maintained, surprisingly spacious riad set in the heart of the town, Palais Oumensour offers great value for money and has a reputation for good traditional food.  It is tastefully decorated in muted, restful tones and has a charming garden with abundant flowering plants, mature trees and fountains. There are great view of gardens and distant mountains from the roof terrace, which is equipped with sun loungers and has an extensive shaded area.

Palais Oumensour

Accommodation: 5 Superior Rooms and 6 Junior Suites with air conditioning, heating, safe and hairdryer overlook the terrace or pool and the large plant-filled courtyard.  Most rooms have a shower room and separate toilet. The largest suite, Argan, has a bathtub and fireplace. The large patio is exceptionally attractive with its laurels, bougainvilliers, citrus, banana and palm trees as well as masses of roses.  3 outdoor salons and 2 interior lounges - one with large TV.

4 similarly furnished rooms on a first floor are also available in the adjoining riad, overlooking the new patio with fountain and Jacuzzi. The largest of the rooms, Indigo and Ocre, have large four-poster beds and private patios with table, chairs and sunchairs - perfect for morning sunbathing up until around 2pm. The former of these has a bathtub as well as shower and can take two extra beds; the latter just has shower and one extra bed.  The smaller rooms, Cumin (one extra bed) and Kawa (double only) have shower rooms and double-glazed Moucharabieh windows which overlook a quiet public alleyway.

Location: In the centre of the medina and less than 200m from the souks.  It only has one small exterior door so you will need to take special note of the route from town.  Parking close by. Only 50 minutes from Agadir airport.

Services and other points to note: It is hoped that a bar licence will be granted in the near future; but in the meantime you are welcome to take your own alcoholic drinks to your table. WiFi internet access (which can be patchy) and safe at reception as well as in all rooms.  There is a 12m swimming pool with towels provided on sun loungers, hammam, massage and jacuzzi.

The owner has recently completed a fitness room on the 2nd floor of the new annexe, as well as a private naturist solarium, which will be a completely enclosed area with no chance of being overlooked.  Shower and deckchairs will be provided.  On the ground floor will be a TV room, large dining room, lounge and bar with fireplace.

Meals: Breakfast is included. Other meals can be taken in one of the two dining rooms or on the large patio with trees and fountains.  Vegetarian options are available.

Staff: Managed by friendly and welcoming staff who do speak English. Although it is an advantage if you can speak some French.

After booking we will send you substantial pre-visit information guides for your chosen destination(s).
