Best known for the outstanding quality of service, Dar Jameel (“the House of Beauty and Grace”) is a remarkably light property with 8 bedrooms in 2 contrasting styles built on 4 floors, enjoying a peaceful yet convenient location and offers tremendous panoramic views over the city and the Straits of Gilbraltar.

Accommodation: Lovingly restored and renovated by its owners, Dar Jameel has 3 sitting room areas including a room on the terrace with 360 degree views. The bedrooms, all with high quality beds, fall into 2 different categories. The “standard” rooms, on the first 2 floors, are more ornate, colourful and richly decorated in traditional Fes style. There are 2 rooms on each floor, each with its own private external bathroom. Each has a double bed, an open clothes hanging unit and the option of an extra bed. The newer suites - on the 2 higher floors -  have en suite bathrooms, plainer décor and more muted colours with ornate ceilings. They are also more spacious – one, the Malabata, has 2 double beds and one, the Sheherazade, may take an extra bed.

Location: Situated in the medina, just a short walk from the port witheasy access by car or foot, the house is also only a short distance from the beach and the Ville Nouvelle

Meals: A generous breakfast is included in the price of rooms. Local, organic food is used whenever possible

Staff: The owners, Stephane and Tajib, and the house manager, Idriss, the maid, Fatima, and the night porter, Mohammed, will do everything they can to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay: they serve you tea, help organize your trip or do your laundry.
