VILLA LA DIOUANA | OUALIDIA

La Diouana is an ecologically restored, stylish and spacious villa and separate small cottage in a lovely mature garden with numerous trees and beautiful sitting area, set in a stunning location overlooking the calm, beautiful coastal lagoon of Oualidia. Marvellous for groups of friends or families looking for privacy, it offers up 5 bedrooms. It has an efficient stove for cool evenings and solar panels, large French windows and roof terrace with breathtaking views.

Accommodation: In total it has 5 bedrooms (3 in main house, 1 in cottage, 1 in apartment): the master bedroom shares the same lagoon view as the study and sitting room and has a large tadelakt bathtub, from where you can watch the sunset; two other rooms in the main house, with showers, overlook the garden. One is a twin, the other a double with a second mezzanine bed with steep ladder. The cottage has one bedroom, its own sitting area and roof terrace. From November until March the cottage may be available for rent separately. The fifth bedroom is a self-contained apartment with twin beds. It has separate entrance, bath, tadelakt floors and terrace overlooking the garden.

Location: Approached by a short track off the main road near the village centre, the house is in a breathtaking position above the calm coastal lagoon of Oualidia, 5 minutes stroll from the beach and not far from the old kasbah. 

Services and other points to note: La Diouana is rented as one unit on a weekly basis (Saturday to Saturday) and can either be rented in its entirety (sleeping 12) or just as a three-bedroom property (the Villa, sleeping 6), with the annex and fifth bedroom kept vacant to guarantee privacy. There is a travel cot, pushchair and car seat at the house. Children should be supervised on the roof terrace. The lagoon where up to 140 bird species are recorded is a bird watcher’s paradise, especially in spring and autumn.

Staff: Housekeeper, Abdillah, lives 2 minutes away and can cheerfully help you enjoy your stay, including options such as a boat trip across the lagoon with lunch of oysters, sea urchins and grilled fish.
