This exceptional small boutique hotel set in lush gardens with palms, olives and roses comprises 3 individually designed villas which may be rented on a room by room basis or individually. Villas Fawakay provide an ideal setting for either families (for which they are extremely well equipped) or couples seeking a relaxing setting with excellent facilities as well as good access to the city.

Accommodation: The 8 rooms are divided amongst one 2 bedroom and two 3 bedroom villas, each with private plunge pool, terrace and garden with Moroccan summerhouse or Berber Tent, flat screen satellite TV, DVD player, air-conditioning, safe in each bedroom and pantry with a well stocked drinks fridge, tea and coffee making facilities are at your disposal. Extra beds or cots are available on request; the suites in each villa may accommodate 2 extra beds whereas in the standard bedrooms, a cot is possible. Suites in all villas may be rented on a room by room basis..

Villa Laklak: 2 bedrooms sleeps up to 5

Villa Taos: 3 bedrooms sleeps up to 8

Location: Near the edge of Marrakech towards the High Atlas mountains, just off the Ouarzazate road, on a verdant patch of ground, yet just 20 minutes' drive from the main square, Jemaa el Fna.

Services and other points to note: Facilities include: a large pool shared by all the villas and a little private plunge pool with each villa, a clay tennis court, table tennis, boules, beauty salon with massage, DVD library and a poolside bar. Babysitting, highchairs, monitoring kit and cots are available. 2 night minimum stay. Cooking lessons available on request. Four nights for the price of three.

Meals:  Continental breakfast, evening canapés and tax are included. Breakfast is served until 11am, lunch at midday, and dinner between 7pm and 9pm. There is a children's menu, snacks in the villa fridges and an all-day snack menu. Lunch and dinner is to order and is excellent Moroccan and international cuisine using ingredients from their own garden.

Staff: The excellent staff include the affable resident English owners, Francis and Dawn, who live in a villa on site with their 4 children, 3 dogs and 2 cats.
