A chic and spacious riad tucked away in an accessible area overlooking the Bahia Palace, Riad Mabrouka combines traditional Moroccan architecture with refined deco. It has a plunge pool and lovely roof terrace with caidal tent and solarium offering splendid views over the city and High Atlas Mountains.

Accomodation: There are 6 bedrooms,two Suites: Zanzibar, an air conditioned oriental suite with a large bed an inside lounge with Moroccan carpets and a bathroom with tadelakt bath, and Tanger, an air conditioned suite with king size bed or twin beds with private inside lounge and two windows overlooking the flowered patio. The grey tadelakt bathroom had a large dressing-room. Two Junior Suites: Douala, on the first floor, is an air conditioned junior suite (double or twin beds) that has its own terrace and a living room. The tadelakt bathroom offers a large shower. (the room also has an extra bed in the living room which can accommodate one child up to 15),. and Bamako, a typical Berber style air conditioned junior suite, is a large room with a living room and a secluded patio. The master bedroom is a double or a twin and the living room can accommodate one child up to 15. The bathroom has a large shower. The two rooms are Grenada, on a level with the main patio, a nice and cosy double room with a large bed decorated in red tones. The tadelakt bathroom has a large shower and dressing room. and Damascus also on a level with the main patio, it is a large air conditioned double room decorated in purple tones. The tadelakt bathroom has a large shower. The accommodation is set around 2 courtyards. Each room has been tastefully decorated with specific colours and there are bathrobes and courtesy bath products scented with orange blossom in each bathroom.

Location: In the southern part of the medina, near the Bahia Palace, some 10 minutes' walk to the south of the main square, Jemaa El Fna, close to one of the few car parks in the medina, the Prefecture car park.

Services and other points to note: There are 2 courtyards, which are brimming with bouganvillaea, one with a plunge pool (4m x 2m). There is also a cosy salon, library with satellite TV, CD player and Internet access. An excellent 1-hour massage is available.

Meals: Breakfast is included. Evening meals or lunch are available on request. Meals can be taken on the roof terrace or in the courtyard or a salon.
