RIAD EL BORJ | MARRAKECH MEDINA

This superb carefully restored 10 room riad boasts the highest tower (Borj) in the medina, offering breathtaking views over Marrakech to the High Atlas Mountains. Its superb location near the main square, reasonably priced rooms, plunge pool, good food and lovely staff make it a great base from which to explore the Medina.

Accommodation:  There is a total of 10 bedrooms: 7 rooms, including the (Douiria) Suite are in the main riad, and 3 are in the annexe riad which houses the plunge pool, located just a short walk away along the alley. All upper rooms have heating and air conditioning, whilst the ground floor rooms are naturally cool. 9 rooms have en suite bathrooms and the 10^th in the annexe is a twin room with adjacent shower room. Two larger rooms may be rented at a premium, the suite comprising a huge central room with spectacular architectural features (including a glass dome), off which lead a double bedroom with dressing room and ensuite bathroom on one side and, on the other side, a living room which may be used for extra sleeping. The room called El Menzeh at the bottom of the tower has its own private terrace. The 3 extra bedrooms in the annexe consist of a small twin (5.1 x 2.2m), a double/twin (5.2 x 3.5m) with a fireplace in the small antechamber, and a twin salon with shutters and private bathroom outside the room.

Location: Easily found and very conveniently located in the Derb Dabachi district just north of the main square and close to the souks, the riad is located near the entrance to an alley from the main thoroughfare from the main square, Jemaa el Fna (close enough for convenience, but far enough away for it to be peaceful).
