Excursions

The following excursions can be undertaken from Marrakech. Each provides a different and interesting insight to the Morocco that lies beyond the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. We would strongly advise you to read the excursion descriptions to make sure that your chosen excursion is suitable for your individual personal requirements.

Cascades d'Ouzoud

At a little more that 2.5 hours (150km) north east of Marrakech in the Middle Atlas Mountains are the Cascades d'Ouzoud. The waterfalls are considered to be one of the most magnificent sights in the whole of Morocco, and definitely worth a visit if you are visiting Marrakech.

Telouet and Kasbah of el Glaoui

The Kasbah of el Glaoui at Telouet is a stunning, crumbling kasbah with a beautiful mountainous backdrop, one of the most spectacular in the Atlas mountains.

Ourika Valley and Setti Fatma

Setti Fatma is a relatively quiet typical Berber village with the additional attraction of seven medium sized waterfalls. It is set about 1 hour from Marrakech at the far end of the pretty Ourika Valley, which is ideal for gentle hiking and also popular with both Moroccan and visiting artists.

Day Trip to Essaouira

Essaouira is around 2.5 hours due west of Marrakech and is one of Morocco's most charming coastal fishing towns.  Set on the Atlantic coast, The town lies at the end of a 10 km long sandy bay and near a rocky coastline with offshore islands and  the walled town is a great place for first time visitors to explore whilst enjoying the long sandy beaches and beach side activities.
