Ourika Valley

The Ourika valley is the most accessible valley in the High Atlas from Marrakech, starting less than 45 minutes' drive from the city. It is famous for the 7 waterfalls at Setti Fatma and the ski resort of Oukaimeden at its head, and is a lush valley with green terraced fields beside the river that contrast strongly with the rocky valley sides of the foothills of the mountains. Despite the fact that this valley is so easily accesible, the accommodation we offer here is very secluded.

Ourika Valley

Situated at around 1,200-1,500 metres it offers a pretty escape from the summer heat of Marrakech or an area for gentle hiking, and is also popular with artists.

Tnine Ourika, named after the local souk in the valley held every Monday ("tnine" in Berber), in the middle of the valley has a saffron farm and an organic herb farm (jardin bio-aromatic), called the Nectarome. The lush valley and local village houses, built from bricks made from the local rich red soils, add to the beauty of the area.
