Kasbah du Toubkal is spectacularly located in the High Atlas Mountains near Morocco’s highest peak. The product of an imaginative Berber and European partnership, believing that the beauty of the Toubkal National Park should be accessible to all who respect it, the ruined Kasbah has been transformed, using traditional methods, from the home of a Feudal Caid to a luxury retreat full of character. They also offer a luxury remote trekking lodge.

Accommodation: The Kasbah has a variety of room types, all very comfortable and some luxurious except a limited number of budget rooms have shared facilities. Minimum length of stay normally 2 nights, and early booking is wise as this kasbah is very popular. The new remote trekking lodge is very comfortable offering 3 en suite bedrooms with spectacular views.

Location: The Kasbah is accessed by foot or mule only. You'll be met with a mule to carry your bags. Situated in the High Atlas Mountains, 90 minutes south of Marrakech. Set high on a rocky outcrop surrounded by walnut trees and small terraced fields and nestled at the foot of Jbel Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa.

The first of the remote trekking lodges has been built in the village of Id Issa in the Azzaden valley and is a half/full days trek (depending on route) from the Kasbah du Toubkal. The valley of Azzaden is truly spectacular and very traditional.

Services and other points to note: The kasbah has a hammam. We can arrange trekking with stays in a luxury lodge run by the kasbah. The new luxury remote trekking lodge option allows guests to stay right in the heart of the spectacular Atlas Mountains without having to compromise on accommodation.  It has spectacular terrace looking up to the snow capped 4000m high peaks of the Toubkal Massif, and a comfortable lounge with picture windows, wood burning stove and music.  NOTE The intention is to provide WiFi connection in certain public spaces of the Kasbah, but the management accept no responsibility to guests if it is not working for some reason. The reception has a couple of laptops for clients’ use.
