Riad Zamane is a lovely Moroccan owned riad a few minutes' walk away from the vibrancy of the souks. All rooms are simply yet comfortably presented, and each is unique in its décor. The riad has a number of communal areas in which to relax, including the very comfortable sitting room, a courtyard and a roof terrace.

Riad Zamane - Safir Suite

Accommodation: There are 5 very pretty en suite rooms, 4 of which are larger suites, each beautifully decorated and lavish without being over-powering and all en suite (water heated by solar power with back up).

Location: Situated in the architecturally attractive Batha area, easy to find and only 50 metres from car access.  A 5 minutes’ walk south east from the Batha Museum, L’Istiqlal square and post office, which are on the west side of the medina.  Also around a 5 minutes’ walk to the Talaa Kebira and Seghira, the main shopping streets which lead you downhill into the heart of the historic Fez medina, and 10 minutes from many of the main attractions.

Meals: Breakfast is included. Evening meal of excellent traditional Moroccan food 200Dh (about £15) served on the terrace, in the courtyard or indoors.

Staff: Managed by the Moroccan owner, Mrs Sakina Belcadi, a most hospitable hostess.
