This modern, medium sized guest house, located 20 km east of Ouarzazate in a stunning lakeside setting, has a large swimming pool cleverly designed to appear to merge with the lake, as well as gardens overlooking it. Les Tourmalines is a comfortable base for explore the Draa, Dades or Todra valleys and the sites of the Ouarzazate region.

Accommodation: 12 en suite rooms, all with air-conditioning and small private terrace, and decorated in a clean, practical style. There are 6 doubles, 2 twins, 3 triples and a luxury suite that sleeps 4 and has TV. There is also a cosy salon for winter's evenings and a separate TV lounge.

Location: Beside a large lake in a modern development, 20 km east of Ouarzazate. A good base for visiting the nearby Draa, Dades or Todra valleys, or as a stop-off on your way to the Deep Desert.

Services and other points to note: Secure car-park. Canoeing on the lake; tennis-courts nearby; horses and camel riding less than a mile away at the largest stables in Morocco.

Meals: Bed and Breakfast or Half Board option. Breakfast and lunches are served around the swimming pool, and dinners are served under the Berber tent. High-class Moroccan and French cuisine.

Staff: The resident French owners Damienne and Christian ensure that standards are very high.
