Accommodation: There are 20 rooms, arranged over 2 floors; all rooms are simply furnished, with en suite bathrooms. Several of the rooms are perfect for families with a number of rooms that may accommodate up to five people.

Location: An ideal stop near Ouarzazate which is roughly midway between the Sahara and Marrakech or Taroudant, Ait Benhaddou is about 40 minutes' drive north of Ouarzazate. Just 200 metres from the World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, a fortified, beautiful unspoiled small village on the old camel trading route from Africa to Morocco and Europe and set for numerous films, including Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth and Gladiator.

Services and other points to note: This area is a perfect place to enjoy nature: from the nesting storks to exploring local caves dwellings or visiting the typical ancient villages. A variety of activities may be arranged including mountain biking, hammam, camel rides, treks on foot and guides at the World Heritage Site.

The owners have agreed with a nearby hotel that clients can use the pool there.

Meals: Prices include breakfast and a tasty traditional evening meal.

Staff: Friendly staff and very hospitable owners: Aurélien, who is French, and Moroccan wife Hind, who has a great deal of experience in the hospitality industry and speaks excellent English.
