Dar Daif | Near Ouarzazate

Undoubtedly one of the best authentic guest houses in the area, Dar Daif is a superbly restored complex of buildings with a 12 rooms and suites, of which 6 have their own terrace, swimming pool, traditional hammam and gardens offering wonderful views in a very peaceful hamlet setting.

Breakfast on the Terrace

Accommodation: 12 air conditioned rooms, all with safe and telephone, of which 4 are standard rooms, 5 are Junior Suites, 2 are suites and 1 is a small double room; all have a bath and shower en suite except the small room which has just a shower. The 5 Junior Suites and 1 suite have a private terrace. All rooms except the small double have a double and a single bed. Some Junior Suites may sleep a 4^th person.

Location: Approached by a 5 km long road accessed 3 km from Ouarzazate on the Zagora road, the property is set in a hamlet. A good base for visiting the nearby Draa, Dades, M’goun and Todra valleys and Ait Benhaddou and as a stop-off on your way to the dunes.

Services and other points to note: Their responsible approach to tourism is widely recognized, for example by “Green Key” status and a trophy awarded in 2009. Use of hammam is included free of charge (specific opening hours). Additional options that may be arranged and paid for locally include: body scrub and massage; excursions to the Oasis of Fint; trekking with mule assistance; mountain biking; and, on the lake near Ouarzazate, canoeing and bird watching

Meals: Bed and Breakfast is included in the price quoted. Meals are served either in air conditioned dining hall, the garden or on the terrace.High-class Moroccan cuisine. Given its remote location dinner is obligatory and paid for locally. Alcohol is not served but you are welcome to bring your own.

Staff: The friendly resident owners, Jean Pierre and Zineb, and their staff ensure that standards are very high.
