Accommodation: As you walk up the charming little street with potted plants and enter the door, delightful new vistas unfold constantly. There are 7 chic little bedrooms are all unique, have a double bed, are en suite and have air-conditioning and underfloor heating.The décor is a charming mix of traditional and modern with carefully chosen colour schemes, unusual tiles and copper sinks in the bathrooms, painted wooden ceilings and hand crafted doors, modern glass bricks and crooked walls.

Location: A short walk into the medina of this charming town at 600 metres in Rif mountains, under 3 hrs from Tangier and about 3.5 hrs from Fez or Rabat. It is not possible to park a car by the hotel, but it is only a couple of minutes walk to one of the gates to the town where you may be dropped off by a taxi. Parking is a few minutes walk away near the Hotel Parador.

Services and other points to note: The riad was opened in 2007 after a 3 year long restoration. The roof terrace is perfect for relaxing and taking in sun and scenery. The region can be cold in winter due to its altitude and northerly latitude. Clients take dinner at the sister riad, Casa Hassan, and may use the hammam there (for a fee).

Meals: Breakfast and tasty, traditional Moroccan evening meals are included in the cost; they are served in homely dining room or on the terrace at Casa Hassan, the sister riad, a few minutes’ walk away.

Staff: Meriem, the owner, and her staff are justifiably proud of their guest house and offer visitors a warm welcome.
