Set beside a spectacular escarpment by an oasis in a fascinating area on the northern edge of the Sahara, this very well managed property with pool offers either en suite rooms in a tower with fine views or “Berber bungalows” with tented roofs and high quality shared bathrooms as well as 4x4 trips to sand dunes.

Accommodation: There is a choice of accommodation:

• for those wanting a traditional experience, there are 9 Berber Bungalows (sleeping up to 41 people); these have earth walls and tented roofs and include rooms which are ideal for families and groups.There are 3 with a double bed and one extra bed; 2 with 4 beds and 4 with 6 beds, all sharing 9 showers with permanent hot water, 9 WCs & 10 hand basins
• for those who want an en suite bathroom, a view, air conditioning and heating there are 4 bedrooms in the tower: 2 doubles, one of which takes an extra bed ,a twin and a suite with a double and 2 extra beds - in total 11 people may sleep in the tower

Location: On the outskirts of the village of Icht, just 500 metres to the north, it overlooks the Jbel Bani,the nearby escarpment which often reflects beautiful orange sunsets. Conveniently located on the edge of the desert between Tata to the east and Tafraoute in the heart of the Anti Atlas Mountains to the north and Mirleft on the Atlantic Coast to the west.

Services and other points to note: Options include 4x4 excursions to a number of fascinating places nearby including the sand dunes on the southern edge of the Draa Valley, Neolithic rock engravings (there are 114 sites in the region), impressive rock formations, some of which yield the most beautiful fossils and the old village of Icht.

Meals: Half board is included. Lunch and picnics are available on request. 

Staff: The French owners, two brothers, Paul (who speaks English) and Philippe, and their pleasant staff offer a very warm welcome.
