SAMPLE ITINERARY OF YOGA TRIP TO TAROUDANT

This Yoga holiday has become a regular event each year in May, a lovely time of year in Morocco because the warmth allows you to stretch to places you may never have done before and a very pretty time to visit with jacarandas in full bloom. Daily yoga sessions were held in a spacious room overlooking the lovely palm gardens at the Palais Salam Hotel, a former palace, whilst accommodation and meals are at the Naturally Morocco Guest House, well known for its award winning vegetarian food.

Yoga Practice

Daily classes took place in the mornings, with the rest of the day to swim in the 2 pools at Hotel Palace. join in "Real Morocco" activities, volunteer for local charities or search the souk for bargains.

Attendees were required to bring their own yoga mat, belt and 4 or 5 foam blocks.

Food

The holiday included all meals, which were vegetarian. For those wishing to be away from the centre for the day a packed lunch was provided. On the last night there was a Feast of the Senses, a Moroccan delight; we cannot say more or it will spoil the surprise.

Outings & Cultural Experiences

On Wednesday there was a choice of outing, to the High Atlas Mountains or to an Oasis. 

The centre also offered Moroccan Massage, henna hand painting, lessons in basic Arabic, Moroccan cookery a trip to the Hamman and a meal in a Berber village.

On the last night they booked a Women’s Berber Band.

Transport

Air travellers were met at the airport - Agadir, 45 minutes from the centre.

Train to Marrakech

Those travelling on the sleeper train from Tangier were met at the station in Marrakech. After a 4 hour trip through the mountains to Taroudant, lunch awaited the group's arrival.
