Hills of the Middle AtlasThe Middle Atlas mountains are the most northerly of the Atlas ranges in Morocco, and are the most lush. Our treks are through some of the most beautiful remote countryside of the Middle Atlas, taking in plateau's, mountains, waterfalls and forests, complete with a stunning variety of flora and fauna.

Our treks are in the foothills of the Atlas mountains departing from the Berber town of Azrou, a two hours' drive south from Fez across the breadbasket of Morocco, from where we are able to offer a range of simple and pretty treks.

Your walk will take you from the Berber village of Azrou through oak and cork woods to your picnic spot on the summit of Ras Kharzouza, then on down to the plateaus frequented by Berber shepherds.

The drive takes you past Azrou, Lake Afenourrir and the volcanic crater lake to Oiouan, which offer a great insight into the flora, fauna and way of life of the Middle Atlas. The walk is relative short to a scenic picnic spot with great seasonal bird watching.
