Atlas Valley Trek: Ouirgane National Park: 2 nights/3 days

Trek Grade: Easy to Moderate

Day 1:
1. Depart Marrakech

2. Depart Imlil, vehicle to Oughlad (1,450m)

3. Trek on to Tinzert (3,000m) for overnight stay

Day 2:
1. Depart Tinzert

2. Trek to Azzaden Valley

3. Trek to Ait Aissa for overnight stay in village Gite

Day 3:

1. Depart Azzaden Valley

2. Trek to Tizi Oussem & Tizi n Mzik pass (2,489m)

3. Trek descent to Imlil for lunchtime

Atlas Valley Trek: Ouirgane National Park: 2 nights/3 days

Trip Grade: Easy to Moderate (Altitude 2000m+)

The route itself is comfortable for a mule ride instead as well as for walking, cross scenic mountain pass & villages, enjoy an overview of a typical & authentic valley. For those who are more adventurous, the days can be extended to cover more distances and climb side peaks all through the trek.

Day 1: Marrakesh - Imi Oughlad - Tinzert:

You'll leave the vehicle on the road up towards Imlil at Imi Oughlad (1,450m) where you will meet your Berber muleteer and guide. Your first day will be an easier acclimatisation trek in the Ouirgane National Park. The terrain here is gentler with copper green soil and juniper trees. Overnight in Gite in Tinzert, a small rustic Berber Village. Approx. 4 hrs walking time.

Day 2: Tinzert - Azzaden Valley (Ait Aissa):

After breakfast you'll head up and out of the valley and traverse over to the stunning Azzaden Valley. The views open up with a rushing mountain stream surrounded by lush walnut groves leading up towards Toubkal and her sister peaks at the head of the Valley. Overnight in a village Gite in Ait Aissa. Aprox. 5-6 hours walking.

Day 3: Ait Aissa - Tizi n Mzik - Imlil:

Today involves a fantastic climb out of the Azzadene Valley. You'll head up the valley towards Tizi Oussem from where you'll head up towards the pass at Tizi n Mzik (2489m) before descending down into Imlil. After lunch in Imlil you'll be transferred back to Marrakech leaving plenty of time to explore the city in the evening. Approx. 4-5 hours walking.
