Darren Lewey leads courses that cover a variety of techniques and subjects including the photogenic town, countryside and people in and around Essaouira. Courses may be of various lengths to suit your needs for 1, 2, 3 or 6 days.

Darren Lewey has been a passionate photographer since the mid 1980’s.  Previously a documentary filmmaker, he played a role in 1998 at the inaugural international music festival in Essaouira, which resulted in him falling for the town where he now has a base which is well placed to fulfill your expectations for getting the most out of photography here.

The tour ethos is for you to lose yourself through the excitement of looking for and finding images that satisfy you, something that is rarely explored in learning photography.

One Day Courses These one day courses, available individually or in combination, provide an introduction to photography for beginners
Three Day Workshop You will be carefully guided through a series of digital workshops that will teach you how to get the best from your camera
Six Day Workshop An extended three day course where, working thematically, you will begin to train your eye with the aim of producing a body of work to stand up to the scrutiny of public exhibition
