Essaouira

Essaouira is an all year round location on the Atlantic coast, with lovely and varied scenery, just 2.5 hours west of Marrakech. Choose from a range of camel trekking options from Diabat, some 3 km south of Essaouira. Itineraries are available for half day, one day, or longer trips with 1 or more nights under canvas, to see varied and beautiful landscapes of the coast, forest and High Atlas mountains with friendly and entertaining local guides who love their animals – and their clients!

A longer trek of around 6.5 hours, passing through the dunes, along the beach, an estuary with lots of birdlife interest and coastlands south of Essaouira. It includes a picnic lunch, views of the 16th Century Portuguese fort and a house once the temporary residence of Jimi Hendrix.
