Atlas Cooperative for the Environment a cooperative created to support local beekeepers, the conservation of the endangered Saharan Yellow Bee and the wider environment. This includes training beekeepers, supplying beekeeping equipment, marketing, product development and the setting up of the “Busy Bee Centre” – a small visitor centre.  The next step is to plant a permaculture inspired bee orchard with a wide variety of nectar and pollen producing plants and to make some top bar hives. SPANA charity – the Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad. SPANA have veterinary centres in Morocco to treat free of charge maltreated animals and educate their owners on animal welfare. They run the excellent caleche MOT scheme which focusses on the health of horses drawing carriages in Marrakech.

Moroccan Childrens' Trust charity – works to support disadvantaged children in Taroudant, in Southern Morocco, aiming to provide brighter futures for street children and their families through education and economic empowerment.

Friends of Marrakech (donations through the Just Giving website). This charity support a number of projects in Morocco including the "Room To Read" programme .

Help the Street Animals of Morocco - working to improve the lives of street animals in the Essaouira region of Morocco by the provision of veterinary care.

Centre Fiers et Forts - is a centre for street-children' in Tamesloth, a small town located in the Marrakech area, providing living accommodation, education and work for 30 street-children. On a daily basis, the Centre provides classes in mathematics in Arab and French as well as regular meals and support for children abandoned by their families.

The East Cheshire Group of Ramblers - The regional ramblers group arranging walks mid-week and at weekends for all abilities, with new members always welcome.
