Our Taroudant "Real Morocco" Staff

Our Guides

You can be sure of fun and well informed discussions with our 9 staff; 7 have studied at university and 7 speak English well - 4 have even studied English at university level.

Said, our chief guide, is a fount of information and is passionate about the locality. He was brought up in a Berber village nearby, which led to a deep love for the unique wildlife of this region (the flora, butterflies, reptiles and birds are notably diverse); he has degree in Biology and Geology. His knowledge of politics and many other subjects is astounding.

Dounia is great fun. She accompanies outings to her family in a traditional Berber village in the mountains, to the Orphanage and teaches languages and cookery.

Kais, an experienced receptionist, sleeps at the guest house and loves to care for visitors. He runs our craft workshop programme, takes men to the "Turkish" baths and organises "The Feast for the Senses", a special event that must remain a secret to maximise enjoyment.

Our Drivers

You can trust our very cheerful and obliging, "Little"Said and Lahcen, both of whom have several years' experience, to drive sedately and to offer insights into the places you visit and their culture.
Mainly based at our guest house and involved in cultural experiences in the town are:

Latifa
, our manageress, Said's wife, organises your "Real Morocco" programme and our office extremely efficiently and with a great sense of humour as well as introducing you to many aspects of Moroccan and especially Berber culture including henna tattoes, music and the hammam.

Our Chefs

Fatima and "Little" Latifa, ensure that the outstanding reputation that the guest house has for food is maintained, always producing tasty, varied meals skillfully and very cheerfully.
